Use it Up: Working Hands Series

Great-Grandmother's sewing machine hums late into the night of Christmas Eve, 1948. Her two little girls can hardly sleep, but awake bright and early on Christmas morning. Wrapped under the trees are two new coats, along with capes for their dolls, made from a coat of her own.

Grammy has been an inspiration to me ever since I was a little girl. Now that I am grown and she has passed away, I am revisiting my own memories and the stories told by her daughters of the beauty she brought into everyday life.
