Zelenskyy Cat

When this painting was finished I realized that the painting had it's own story! Zelenskyy Cat is the product of a series of cat paintings. I painted abstract backgrounds at random, and then painted cats on top. This painting called out for an unraveling ball of string. When I finished I realized that the background colors of yellow and blue are the colors of Ukraine. The cat seemed to symbolize Zelenskyy, a large and resolute leader in opposition to the Russians red attack. The unraveling ball of string denotes the stuggle of the red troops against the resolve of the Ukrainian people. It all came together with meaning for me.
