Heron in the Morning Mist

Tricolored Heron standing on rocks in the Mist of Morning. Painted with watercolor and gouache unto a Botanical Print made using real leaves and foliage that are steamed onto the watercolor paper. The color or dyes from the leaves are transferred to the paper using a water bath and steamer. A mordant is added to the water bath that the paper is soaked in before the steaming process. I am inspired by nature and love to create art that reflects it's natural environment. Birds are fascinating to watch.
